Forza Horizon 5’s latest series continues into its second week today, with the theme of hiding and seeking central to the action.
Officially known as “Hidden Horizons”, Series 38 brings an all-new game mode — including to the Playlist itself — as well as a number of activities based around looking for things.
You’ll be playing “Hide & Seek” with cars in the new, eponymous mode, as five players hunt down one in an online multiplayer event. There’s some new Accolades available for the mode this month too, although Achievements for it won’t be added until next month.
There’s a further makeover for the Stadium too, which sees it transformed into an intricate maze. You’ll need to navigate it for several challenges this month, including all of the Treasure Hunts.
In total there’s four new reward cars available this month, with one each for 20pt within each of the four seasons. There isn’t a fifth new vehicle as an overall reward, but all players will be awarded a special tie-in Camaro through their in-game messages.

This month’s Playlist is another full-fat one at 300pt in total, with 75pt distributed equally across the four seasons.
However, in addition to the DLC packs accounting for their usual 56pt across the Series — thus 100% completion requires only 244pt — the addition of the Hide & Seek mode does add a few online-only points into the mix and you’ll need Xbox Live Core for those.
Neither overall Series reward is new, but both are Playlist-exclusive Nissans. The Tsuru is available for 80 points, while you’ll get the Safari at 160 points.
Series 38 Autumn/Storm Season Rewards
There’s a brand new Subaru up for scoring 20pt this season, as the 2022 WRX makes its debut. Rack up 40pt and you’ll earn the madcap Sierra 700R buggy too.
Autumn will run until 1430UTC on Thursday September 26, with Series 38 running for another two weeks until the same time on Thursday October 10.
Series 38 Autumn Playlist: Forzathon Events
After last week’s Peel, there’s a bit more power in the Plymouth Hemi Cuda needed for this week’s Forzathon Weekly Challenge. Seven more Daily Challenges — one new event each day at 1430 UTC — are also available for a point each.
There’s a couple of complex requirements this week. You’ll need to go flat-out from rest for at least ten seconds in the Cuda to score the Hard Charger Skills for one task, while another requires you to accumulate a score of 426mph through as many Speed Traps as you like. The Wrecking Ball Skill in the Daily Challenges can be awkward; you need to score at least three different Wreckage Skills in one Skill Chain for this.

Series 38 Autumn Playlist: Season Events
Only The Trial remains as a multiplayer event in Season Events this week, requiring an Xbox Live Core subscription (unless you play on PC) in order to have access to online multiplayer. You’ll need an A Class (701-800PI) car from Japan for this Street Racing event.
Two EventLab challenges are on the list this week, each comprising a unique, player-created challenge selected for the Playlist by Playground Games.
Both PR Stunts require an S1 Class (801-900PI) Chevrolet, and we’d recommend more downforce for the Speed Trap so that you can negotiate the final corner at speed, but less for the Danger Sign so that you can soar.
There’s three Seasonal Championships, each of which is a three-race challenge against Highly Skilled AI. Two are offroad events, with the History Lesson event for B Class (601-700PI) cars from the 1960s and the Right on the Money challenge for A Class (701-800PI) cars worth 100,000cr or more when new. You’ll need an A Class (701-800PI) car from either Mercedes stable for the Benz and Curve road event.
Lastly, Horizon Arcade just requires you to complete three rounds of any event type — Air, Chaos, Drift, Speed, or Wreckage — to grab the points.
