In the Black Hills Mountains in South Dakota, USA, a former military base for storing ammunition has now been converted into doomsday bunker. Interestingly, this bunker is now open to the public.

Company Alivewho specializes in building and managing doomsday bunkers, explained that the aim behind building these unique dwellings was to provide a survival project for humanity at large, not just for the elite.

According to Dante Vicino, Executive Director of Vivos, now ordinary citizens also have the opportunity to order shelter when conditions are unstable.

“Even ordinary citizens can now book a place for them to take shelter when the situation is chaotic,” said Vivos Executive Director Dante Vicino, quoted from Metro.co.uk, Wednesday (20/3/2024).

Vivos, which is now known as a humanitarian project about human survival, is fully prepared to face anything and whenever events may occur.

Vicino said that the members of the doomsday group were not ‘preppers’, namely people who had prepared all kinds of necessities for major events or doomsday. In addition, the members of this community are not elite, but are educated people and citizens who want to protect their families during uncertain times.

“Their economic profile is also diverse, from lower middle class to people with high incomes,” he said.

Vicino said that while everyone was struggling to find a survival solution, their members already had designated shelters. They claim there are hundreds of people with similar thoughts.

“Everything is ready to protect against any possible threat,” Vicino added.

Vicino said that the threat of COVID-19, the war in Ukraine, tensions with China and also the Middle East conflict were the reasons why demand for this type of housing was increasing.

“We live in extremely dangerous times, so the need for shelter protection solutions is critical for those who want to survive this extinction-level event, and have the opportunity to escape safely afterwards,” he explained.

The modern bunkers built by Vivos are equipped with complete furniture and all the equipment necessary for survival. The living room is equipped with a sofa, carpet and coffee table, while the kitchen is equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, washing machine and dining table.

For those interested, options are available that resemble hotel accommodation for bedrooms and bathrooms. Plan A offers four twin bedrooms, one double bedroom and one bathroom, providing a hotel-like stay.

Plan B offers four twin bedrooms, one double bedroom, one bathroom and one wet room. Meanwhile, Plan C comes with two twin bedrooms, one double bedroom, one main bedroom with en suite bathroom, and one additional bathroom. Lastly, Plan D offers eight single bedrooms and three bathrooms. These are the various options available to prospective residents.

“Demand for doomsday bunkers is up more than 2,000% year over year, plus sales are up more than 300% and growing exponentially. Everyone seems to want an immediate survival solution,” Vicino said.

New bunker complex construction projects take varying amounts of time, ranging from nine to 12 months, depending on the scale of the project, location, and availability of building materials and labor.

In addition to the bunker complex construction project in the United States, Vivos is also planning the construction of a bunker complex in Europe. In the United States, the bunker complex located in South Dakota is called Vivos Xpoint, while in Europe, a similar project is being built on a mountain in Germany called Vivos Europa.

“Vivos is not just about concrete, steel and blast doors. It is about having a backup plan so that humanity can survive and so that families have the opportunity to be part of a like-minded community when these events occur, Vicino concluded.
