A former IT employee of Foley Hoag is suing the law firm for nearly $50,000 in unpaid overtime he racked up over a period of 46 weeks, according to a wage-and-hour class action filed Wednesday in the Southern District of New York.
The plaintiff, former senior support analyst Gregory Modny, also alleges the firm retaliated against him for reporting the misconduct of a supervisor and other employees. The supervisor even forced Modny to climb an unsafe ladder as a retaliatory measure, the complaint stated, prompting Modny to fall and sustain serious injuries that led to his termination.
